Most WOPN events take place in or very close to The Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach, on California's amazing Central Coast. For seminars and events that are outside of the resort area, buses are provided that will take you there and bring you back.

Travelling to WOPN

The Cliffs Resort is in Shell Beach, just north of the quaint California seaside town of Pismo Beach. About halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the resort is just off Highway 101.

By Car

Directions from the South: Travel North on Highway 101 and use Exit 193, Spyglass Drive. Turn left at the stop sign onto Spyglass Drive. Turn right at the next stop sign onto Shell Beach Road. The Cliffs Resort is located 200 yards on the left.

Directions from the North: Travel South on Highway 101 and use Exit 193, Shell Beach Road. Turn right at the stop sign onto Spyglass Drive. Turn right again onto Shell Beach Road. The Cliffs Resort is located 200 yards on the left.

By Train

The Pacific Surfliner by Amtrak stops at the stations of San Luis Obispo and Grover Beach. The Cliffs Resort can arrange to pick you up from either station.

By Plane

Nearby airports include Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo. The Cliffs Resort can arrange to pick you from San Luis Obispo airport.

Travel During WOPN

The Cliffs Resort is usually fully booked during WOPN and there is very little self-parking during the events, although valet parking is available. However if you stay at The Cliffs Resort, or one of the nearby hotels, you should not need to drive. WOPN provides a shuttle between nearby hotels on Friday and Saturday, and buses to and from the off-site seminars on Friday and the Paulée on Saturday.

Friday, 9am: Buses to Seminar Combination A at Foxen and and Seminar Combination B at Wild Horse leave promptly curbside in front of The Cliffs Resort. They will return seminar attendees to The Cliffs Resort at about 2.45pm.

Friday, 2.30pm - 11pm:  Continuous shuttle loop between The Cliffs Resort, Shore Cliff Lodge, Pismo Lighthouse Suites, Shelter Cove, Cottage Inn and Spyglass Inn.

Saturday, 1.30pm - 6pm:  Continuous shuttle loop between The Cliffs Resort, Shore Cliff Lodge, Pismo Lighthouse Suites, Shelter Cove, Cottage Inn and Spyglass Inn.

Saturday, beginning at 6pm:  Buses to the Paulée at Au Bon Climat.  At the conclusion of the evening, buses will return to The Cliffs Resort, Shore Cliff Lodge, Pismo Lighthouse Suites, Shelter Cove, Cottage Inn and Spyglass Inn.
