 The
World of Pinot Noir will once again be proud to acknowledge
the contribution of our team of expert sommeliers at
the Tenth Anniversary of the event. Over two dozen sommeliers
from all over the country converge on Shell Beach in
March to provide expert service, knowledge and insight
into Pinot Noir. They hail from some of the most distinguished
and respected restaurants and bring a wealth of wine
knowledge to WOPN.

Santa Barbara
A twenty-five year restaurant veteran,
Mitchell owns bouchon Santa Barbara, a regional
wine country fine dining experience, and Seagrass,
a coastal cuisine restaurant in Santa Barbara. As most
small restaurant operators do, Sjerven runs the business
side of his restaurants out of necessity, but he pursues
his passion for hospitality in the dining rooms of his
restaurants, where he is found most evenings.

back to WOPN 2010 in his 4th year as Sommelier Captain!

Fredman ~ DFPR Public Relations and Marketing to
the Thirsty
Dan Fredman was ingested into the
gaping maw of the wine simulacrum sometime between the
initial moment of discovery wherein it was agreed that
spoiled grape juice wasn't such a bad thing after all,
and the wine industry's epiphany that consumers would
respond positively to a 100 point scoring system. Many
years of tasting, collecting, and selling wine eventually
led him to a career in the fast-paced world of wine
public relations. Presently based in Malibu, California,
Dan enjoys the evangelical fervor inherent in working
with an inspired international roster of extraordinary
wine producers.
